The Yellow Emperor is the chief of the ancient Huaxia tribes, and the first of the Five Emperors of China. He united the tribes, founded the Chinese nation, created cultures and loved his people. He is honored as the earliest ancestor of all Chinese people.

黄帝，中国古代部落联盟首领，五帝之首。他一统华夏，建立起中国第一个有共主的国家。他惜物爱民，创造了灿烂文明，被后人尊为中华人文始祖。

Yellow Emperor times was a period of great power, political stability and cultural progress. There were numerous inventions and creations and splendid achievements, such as Chinese characters, music, almanac calendar, palace, boat and cart, clothes and south-pointing chariot. 

      黄帝在位时期，国势强盛，政治安定，文化进步，发明创造层出不穷，成就辉煌，如文字、音乐、历数、宫室、舟车、衣裳和指南车等。因他发明了车，故称之为轩辕黄帝（在古代，“轩辕”一词指的是与车相关的部件）。

  He was known as Emperor Xuanyuan as he created cart ( in Chinese, “xuan” and “yuan” refer to the parts of a cart).
